Walt: Describe an Olympic sport (use one that you are animating or one that you are interested in. Did you know that Gymnastics is olympic sport?In gymnastics there are two different types of categories gymnastics one is called artistics and rhythmic. Artistics gymnastics started in 1982 and rhythmic started in 1984. In artistic gymnastics males and females can compete some time females can perform their tricks like performing on uneven bars and on the floor and some time  males can perform their tricks on the rings and  parallel bars. In rhythmic only females can compete, they can perform with Ribbons and hoops. In rhythmics gymnastics Russia won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal.The united states won the most medals for artistics gymnastics.They won 4 gold medals 6 silver medals and 2 bronze medals altogether they won 12 medals.Courtney McGregor did artistic gymnastics for new zealand. New zealand didn’t won any medals in gymnastics but in the whole olympics new zealand won 4 gold medals and 9 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.
